Thanks to its architectural and operational features, Pavilhão Atlântico was distinguished by the International Olympic Committee and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities in 2001, having been awarded the IOC/IAKS Gold Award in the “International Sports Events Facilities” Category.

Travel and Tour industry professionals did not hesitate to vote for Pavilhão Atlântico. Talking about architecture, modernism, versatility, and cost-effectiveness is commonplace talking. And those are common features of the Atlântico Hall, with its 5,200 square metre indoor arena seating up to 12,500 people; common features of the Tejo Hall, with its 2,200 square metre auditorium bathed in natural light; and common features of the Business Centre Hall, with its 100-seater auditorium and 11 configurable meeting rooms. It is all a part of one of the most modern venues in the world. Unquestionably so.  Thank you to all companies and organisations which have selected and continue to prefer our venue for hosting their events.

 2007 Events Gala Award – Best Multipurpose Facility
The first edition of the 2007 Events Gala Award, an annual event promoted by ExpoEventos, Apecate, and the Festas & Events magazine, decided to distinguish Pavilhão Atlântico in this category based on online voting by over 30,000 people and the confirmation of a very strict panel of judges who had no doubts in selecting Pavilhão Atlântico as the country’s Best Multipurpose Facility. This historical award adds to the many awards and distinctions which our venue and our work have merited over the years. And no matter how commonplace it has become to see leading world-class showbiz stars in our dressing rooms, we must admit that we were rather touched by this particular star. And that it motivates us to do ever more and ever better.
